Meet the Ian Muñoz Quartet, our Resident Band for August!

Throughout August, the trio will bring a series of special evenings to our stage on:

Ian Muñoz is a New York City–based saxophonist and Juilliard graduate in Jazz Studies. Originally from Miami, he draws inspiration from Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Kenny Garrett, Immanuel Wilkins, and John Coltrane. He has performed with artists including Sean Jones, Tim Warfield, Vincent Herring, and Matthew Whittaker, and has toured across the U.S., China, Japan, Canada, and Taiwan.

Ahmed McLemore is a Detroit-born bassist and Juilliard master's student. A graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory, he combines a deep respect for jazz tradition with a modern artistic voice. He has performed with artists such as Terell Stafford, Eric Reed, Pasquale Grasso, Tim Warfield, and Steve Davis.

Matthew Lee is a New Jersey–born drummer and Juilliard graduate based in New York City. Raised in a musical family, he studied with leading jazz musicians including Billy Hart, Billy Drummond, and Christian McBride. He performs regularly with many of New York’s leading young jazz artists.

Isaac Byrd is a Brooklyn-based pianist, composer, and educator. After studying at the Oberlin Conservatory, he moved to New York in 2025 and has performed with Curtis Lundy, Samara Joy, Bobby Watson, and Joe Farnsworth. One of the most influential bassists of the modern jazz and funk scene, Vincen García brings his signature groove and explosive energy to Tatuza Jazz Club for two special nights.

Born in Valencia and raised in a musical family, Vincen is a self-taught bassist with over 14 years of professional experience. He is among the top 10 most listened-to bassists globally in terms of streaming, amassing hundreds of thousands of followers and millions of views and reactions. Vincen has performed at legendary festivals such as Montreux Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, and Pori Jazz Festival.

Meet the Steve Sandberg Trio, our July Resident Band!

Steve Sandberg is a three-time Emmy-nominated pianist and composer whose career spans jazz, classical, Afro-Caribbean, and Brazilian music. Known as the musical director and lead composer for Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go!, he has performed with artists including Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Rubén Blades, David Byrne, and Bebel Gilberto.
